I'll say it first

What woman wants? You never know until you get in their mind. This is a story about a girl who wants to text a boy first, but she really hesitates to make the first step. At the same time, she acts like she doesn’t care at all. The main idea is to show that women aren’t always so confident as they act and how many thoughts can be in one mind in one second before they make a decision.
This image was inspired by the soviet decade. I wanted to face the modern digital world and old sovietу flat as a metaphor that technology changes but dreams stay the same.

Alena Shevchenko

I was born and raised in Moscow by my mother and grandmother. Growing up in a female only family has largely determined my creative path and views. I like to tell stories about women, their dreams, fears, and problems. I started my career as a Director with shooting fashion backstage. The world of fashion always fascinated me and introduced me to the best designers, stylists and models in Moscow. It influenced my taste and style. I started creating video portraits and short atmospheric videos, before it got popular in Moscow. Shortly after I got interested in other forms and started making music videos, advertising and now films. My main focus and subject is love and the relationship between men and women. In my work, I try to study it from different angles and answer the main question "One Love for one life or can we love many times?” How many tries do we get in love? But in order to answer this question, I need to live a whole life. This means that there is a lot of interesting things ahead.
