Unposted

Takuya Morikawa is in love. From the opening “Dearest” read sweetly by actress Evangeline Young, to the blue toothbrush sitting on a nightstand, to the birds of paradise button-up, model Keiju Furuya glides in, in his Tokyo apartment, Taakk’s “Unposted” Spring/Summer 2021 short film is a love letter to craft. To the longing for human connection. To the details no matter how small.

Nagisa Kodama

Nagisa is a genre-fluid writer and director. Born in the countryside of Japan and raised across the continental US, Nagisa now shares his time between New York City and Tokyo.

He is a fan of life in the fringes, thriving in the intersection of tragic counterpoint. Nagisa loves to bring these murmurs to life as a writer/director, but also gains tremendous joy working cross-platform with other artists and creators.

Starting his career on the stage, he was later mentored by writer/director Shunji Iwai on films such as A Bride for Rip Van Winkle, The Case of Hana and Alice, and Last Letter. Having worked across the globe, his recent works include videos for the 2020 Paris collection brand TAAKK and a documentary for NY-based dance company Urban City Ballet.

Nagisa is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

In between his travels, he enjoys cycling, getting lost, and deep dives into the ocean.
