Summer Dream
In a distant dream of lust and jealousy young Penelope provokes a game of forbidden desire with Vincent, a game that goes too far. Through the lens of a half forgotten dream we unravel a story of two couples. Penelope and Christian, the picture of youth, testing the waters of a new relationship; and Vincent and Carmen, long married couple being confronted with the invigorating presence of the younger pair.
Benjamin J. Richardson
Benjamin J. Richardson is an LA based director, born and raised in Upstate New York. While living there he began work in the industry as a cinematographer. That job gave him experiences in everything from extreme sports in the scorching desert to delicate macro photography in high tech clean rooms. In 2009 he joined forces with like minded peers to create a successful production company based out of Syracuse, NY. During his time there the company received over a dozen awards including Silver and Gold ADDYs two of which were specifically for cinematography. In a move to further push his talents and career he moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to further his career in filmmaking. Since his move to LA he has worked on national commercial campaigns including Mountain Dew, Dodge, and US Cellular. In 2018 he was the Director of Photography for the Los Angles unit of the Amy Schumer Film "I Feel Pretty". During his time in LA he has transitioned to Directing and has continued to work on commercial and branded content in that role. Summer Dream is his first foray into short films and the world of fashion.
