Two otherworldly performers dance in the burning white light. Heart-rending and sublime, they weave spells with each movement; incantations rewrite the world with the shamanic grace of new gods.
Director Statement
Film is a way for me to immerse myself in every discipline I love. Writing, directing, shooting, editing and composing for my films lets me explore the film fully. I world- build and spell-weave... for film is storytelling- and allowing, if only for a moment, the fantastic, the impossible, the arcane, to become real in a celebration of sound, image, color, and movement.
Alexis Karl
Alexis Karl is a New York City based multidisciplinary artist, musician and filmmaker, whose work explores the experimental realm. Karl is a professor of art, exhibits her work internationally, and lectures on art , fashion, film and the darker side of culture.
