A godmother makes a handmade dress over a mannequin one night. Her artisanship breathes life to the lifeless next dawn. It sets out a magical journey into the surreal world by itself to explore the nature and its own being. Eventually the mannequin discovers the true purpose of its creator and the meaning of life.

Dimon John

Dimon John is a Film Director and Screenwriter based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
He began his career as a graphic designer when he was sixteen. He studied multimedia and visual effects at Arena Animation, India; before he directed the 3D animation student short 'Greedy Harish' (2011).
He interned at Film Location Services, Sri Lanka in 2014 and worked as an independent assistant director for several films and advertisements.
His debut short film ‘Waves Interrupted’ (2018) was officially selected and premiered at the Asian Short Film Competition of 23rd BUSAN International Film Festival 2018. It was also official selected at other International Film Festivals and won the 'Best Short Film' at the 8th Agenda14 Short Film Festival 2018.

'Handmade' (2019) is his first international collaboration with the clothing brand KÛR.
He currently write and direct independent and brand oriented short films while developing his debut feature film.
